Papworth Trust are a Registered Provider of Homes, which means they are classed as a ‘Social Landlord’ and their homes are rented at either a social or affordable rent to people who need a home.
Many of their homes are fully wheelchair accessible, but they also have standard specification properties for people who do not need any adaptations.
This project involved the supply and installation of 42replacement gas boilers at addresses across Papworth, Everard, Doddington, Sawston and Godmanchester.
High efficiency Vailliant ECOTec plus 825 boilers were fitted along with controls which comply with the Boiler Plus legislation introduced in April 2018.
The new boilers and controls are much more energy efficient as well as being user friendly and reliable.
Some additional works were required which included making good after the new boilers were fitted and the installation of vertical flues which required scaffolding and at some properties, specialist roofers due to slate roofs.
The project was delivered on time and within budget and has resulted in a reduction in heating costs for the tenants.
