Mr Pudney’s comments
As a consumer I first started considering the installation of solar photovoltaic panels at my home in late 2010 as I wanted to reduce my electricity bills and I had also gained knowledge of the great benefits offered by the feed-in tariff scheme. Over the next few weeks I spent time with the company’s Technical Manager researching the best possible products for my home.
I decided on Solarworld as they had been manufacturing solar panels for more than 30 years and offered a “complete package” service as well as having some excellent industry performance awards behind them.
After the first twelve weeks of the system going live we had generated an income of £739.12 and in addition to this we had saved approximately £175.00 on our electricity bill.

We used the installation at my home to gain Princeenergy’s MCS accreditation and we passed with no non-conformance reports whatsoever and were commended on the quality of the installation.
With regards to the performance of the system both my wife and I are over the moon. After the first twelve weeks of the system going live we had generated an income of £739.12 and in addition to this we had saved approximately £175.00 on our electricity bill. This by far exceeded our expectations from the Standard Assessment Procedures that we had used to calculate the likely performance of the system and after witnessing the success of the installation, it wasn’t long before the remaining five Directors of Princebuild Limited placed an order with our newly found Princeenergy Division!
We also researched a way of connecting our PV system to the internet so that we could always monitor the performance of our investment whilst on the move. This has proved a great way of demonstrating our system to friends and family and our children have really enjoyed monitoring the system and learning about renewable energy too.
