Feed in Tariff Scheme (FITs) Review April 2015

The Feed in Tariff Scheme will undergo some minor changes which will affect systems commissioned on or after 1st April 2015.

The feed in tariff scheme is now in its 6th year and is reviewed quarterly in line with the number of national installations. The changes in April will reduce the FIT payment rates for solar photovoltaic systems under 10kWp by around 0.5 pence, meaning the highest rate for a system of less than 4kWp is now set at 13.39.p/kWh. Full details of the current Feed in Tariffs can be found here.

Solar Panels are still a sound investment however, providing a return of up to 11% on your initial outlay, in addition the cost of installing a Solar PV system has reduced considerably since the scheme was introduced. In fact Princeenergy can offer a fully installed 4kW system from just £5.100, which is inclusive of a 10 year warranty.
